Living Jewishly—Engaging parents and families
Parent involvement is key to passing on our Jewish culture and heritage. We are planning on several family-based experiences to enhance your in-home Jewish engagement. These experiences include:
Family Education:
- Four quarterly and distinct Sunday morning programs in place of Religious School that will allow your family to build memories together while increasing your Jewish knowledge in a meaningful and purposeful way
Family Shabbat Services:
- Monthly services led by our youth and clergy (hopefully followed by a congregational dinner)
Family Activities:
- Special programs that enhance our curriculum and provide fun, hands-on family-based Jewish experiences allow you to spend time together and with others in our community while interacting with Jewish concepts.
Prayer with a Purpose: Monthly Shabbat and Social Action Experiences:
- Celebrate Shabbat in your home and do something good for our community too!
- We'll provide all the supplies needed for a Kabbalat Shabbat experience (challah, candles, grape juice) and a social action project to do in your home for your family (and up to two other families as well!)
Recipient of Jewish Education Enhancement Project grant; a program of the Macks Center for Jewish Education, with funding from the Associated and the Charles Crane Family Foundation
