Posner JEM Religious School

Building Jewish Identity—Social engagement

Our students regularly engage in fun and meaningful peer-based experiences. Our Youth and Teen Engagement Specialist provides social engagement opportunities for our children that provide regular interaction and socialization with their Jewish peers. Each age group gets special attention, and through unique experiences, they will create meaningful memories to help them build Jewish identities and friendships.

For Grades Pre-K-4

  • Students will engage as a class in fun, active, creative and play-based informal learning experiences on Sunday mornings to teach them about Jewish concepts or topics as they build relationships with their classmates.

For Grades 5-7

  • Students will engage as a class in fun, active, creative and play-based informal learning experiences on Sunday mornings to teach them about Jewish concepts or topics as they build relationships with their classmates.
  • Bi-Monthly small group, peer-based fun, social, and chaperoned experiences for our pre-teens to hang out with each other and just be kids!

For Teens (Grades 8-12):

  • Madrichim Program: Paid teen leadership experience in our community and school
  • Monthly social programs for our teens to connect them to each other and their Judaism in a chaperoned and safe environment.
