Lunch and Learn: Christian Nationalism and Us: An Interfaith Discussion On Protecting Shared Society

11:45 AM - 1:30 PMJoin us after our Saturday morning Shabbat services for lunch and an interfaith discussion with Rabbi Rachel Sabath Beit-Halachmi, Ph.D. of Har Sinai-Oheb Shalom Congregation and Reverend Thomas Clemet of St. John's-Western Run Church on Christian nationalism and protecting our shared society from the rise of white supremacy. The discussion will be moderated by Lee Sherman, President of the Institute for Islamic, Christian, and Jewish Studies (ICJS).
Prior to the discussion, we will view a documentary on the little-known charismatic Christian movement called the New Apostolic Reformation and the role it played in instigating the January 6 Capitol riot, and its continuing political influence.
Lunch for HSOSC and St. John's Parish members is free and costs $18 for non-affiliated community members.
