This Friday night we are delighted to welcome Rabbi Oded Mazor who is the Senior Rabbi at Kol HaNeshama Congregation in Jerusalem, a sister Reform congregation in Israel. 

Rabbi Mazor will be speaking on the “Soul of Israel Today” during Erev Shabbat Services on Friday, July 18 @ 6:15 PM.

Services will be led by Rabbi Sabath and Cantor Marcus. 

Rabbi Oded Mazor has led the flagship Reform congregation Kol HaNeshama in Jerusalem since 2019. Raised in liberal Jewish communities, he was active in youth movements and served in the Israeli army with Garin Nahal. After studying at Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem, he contributed to community life at Kibbutz Hanaton and worked as a rabbi and educator at the Leo Baeck Education Center in Haifa. A liturgist, he co-edited HaSimcha SheBalev and contributed to Tfilat Ha-Adam, the Israeli Reform prayer book. A Mandel and Honey Foundation fellow, he lives in Jerusalem with his wife, Ya’ala, and their three children. 

Rabbi Mazor is also a close colleague of Rabbis Sabath Beit-Halachmi and will be part of a clergy cohort of the Institute of Jewish Spirituality that Rabbi Sabath has joined as well.
