Congregation-Wide Shir L'dorot Shabbat Featuring Noam Katz

Our Shir L'dorot series continues with a Congregation-wide Shabbat Service with Rabbi Noam Katz and our youth choir, The God Singers. 

  • 5:15pm - 5:30pm - Tot Shabbat Experience (Geared towards families with babies and toddlers,15 minute song-session. Please note: due to lack of interest there will be no early dinner option.)
  • 6:00 - 7:00pm - Congregation-wide Shabbat Service (Featuring Rabbi Noam Katz and the God Singers, this multi-generational Shir L’dorot Shabbat service is open to all and recommended for religious school age and older)
  • 7:00pm - Congregation-wide Dinner in Auditorium (Chinese food with gluten free/vegatarian/vegan options)
  • 7:30-8:30pm: Activities for kids (sand art, paint your own canvas, and Wii games!)

Dinner costs $18 per adult.

Rabbi Noam Katz, an influential voice in contemporary Jewish music, has brought his high- flying energy and soulful melodies to Jewish and interfaith audiences across North America, Africa, and Israel. Katz has performed at conventions, summer camps, and congregations around the world and currently serves as the Rabbi/Dean of Jewish Living at The Leo Baeck Day School in Toronto, Ontario. In 2003, Noam embarked on the most exciting journey of his life, volunteering with the Abayudaya Jews of Uganda. He has since shared their story and music with audiences young and old, incorporating the message of Jewish unity and Tikkun Olam wherever he goes.
