7:30 PM - 9:00 PMHSOSC welcomes Chava Mirel; singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. Chava is a dynamic force in Jewish music. Fusing a spectrum of influences, she bridges multiple segments of the Jewish world. Chava performs in Folk, World Music, Jazz and other genres, where she imbues her music with the universal themes of hope, caring, connection, inclusion, women's concerns, and environmental issues.
She has decades of experience in leadership and educational roles in various Reform and Conservative congregations around the US. From early childhood programs to youth group and camp mentorship to leading prayer for memory care patients, her work has brought music and meaning through the many facets of our communities.
Chava is a fellow in the Hadar Institute’s Rising Song Fellowship.
