Bat Mitzvah of Andi Rogow

Saturday, October 2, 2021 26 Tishrei 5782

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Bat Mitzvah of Andi Rogow

“I am not a conjunction,” Andi tells people who try to call her And for short. “My name is Andi.” Who Andi is and has become is a source of immense pride for her entire family. She is an intelligent, personable, loving, and fun child. Andi is also a perfectionist and a fierce competitor in everything she does. From a very early age, Andi has played team sports (field hockey, lacrosse) and participated in individual sports (gymnastics & rock climbing). She has excelled at all of them before finally finding her passion for competing in ninja obstacle course competitions. In fact, Andi has competed in the world championships in each of her two seasons in the National Ninja League.

Andi is blessed to be truly immersed in L’Dor V’dor (from generation to generation) for her Bat Mitzvah. Not only does she share the same birthday as her Poppy, Henry I Louis, but she will also be reading the same Torah portion, Bereshit, as her Poppy and mother, Marni. Three generations reading the same Torah portion at the same congregation has significant meaning for our family. Some may consider it divine intervention. We do.

Andi is an only child, but she is not alone in this world. She is the youngest of 10 first cousins, has amazing bonds with fellow ninja athletes, camp friends, and her friends in Reisterstown. She is loved and supported by her proud parents, Eric and Marni, her grandparents: Phyllis & Henry Louis of Pikesville, Judith B. Rogow of Delray Beach, FL, and Sara & Michael Rogow of Roslyn, NY, and nine aunts and uncles from Boston down to Atlanta.
