Distinguished Voices: What's Our Role in Saving Israeli Democracy?

With all the upheaval in Israel, many of us American Jews might feel stuck in place. How can we affect change from thousands of miles away? How do we bridge the ideological and geographical divide with our brothers and sisters in Israel? What's our role in saving Israeli democracy? As part of our Distinguished Voices Speakers Series, we will bring two Israeli activists to Har Sinai - Oheb Shalom to guide us in how we as American Jews can play an active and crucial role in building a better Israel.

Nadav Tamir, a former Israeli diplomat, is the Executive Director of J Street Israel, a member of the board of the Mitvim Think Tank, an adviser for international affairs at the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation and a member of the steering committee of the Geneva Initiative. He was an adviser of President Shimon Peres and served in the Israel Embassy in Washington and as consul-general to New England.
