Welcome-Back Weekend with Elana Arian

We are excited to welcome Artist-in-Residence Elana Arian to HSOSC September 6-8! Please join us for a welcome-back weekend filled with singing, learning, and celebrating.  

A composer, multi-instrumentalist, and prayer leader, Arian is one of the leading voices in contemporary Jewish music. Elana's music is part of Jewish life across the globe, and her compositions are sung in spiritual communities, summer camps, and synagogues. Elana just released her fourth album of original music, The Other Side of Fear. Learn more about Elana and hear her music here.  

Friday, September 6, 6:15pm:
Welcome-Back Shabbat Service
Join Elana Arian, Rabbi Sabath, and Cantor Marcus for an uplifting Shabbat service as we welcome everyone back from summer. This service is family-friendly and appropriate for all ages. Elana and our clergy will be joined by an expanded musical team and is not to be missed! A festive oneg will follow. 

Saturday, September 7, 10am:
Shabbat Morning Service
A contemplative take on our Shabbat morning service, Elana will join Rabbi Sabath and Cantor Marcus as we continue our Shabbat celebrations. 

Sunday, September 8, 11:15am:
Religious School Learning & Concert
Elana will join our Religious School students as we kick-off the school year! The morning will include special learning opportunities and a concert with Arian. Open to religious school students and their families.
